A registered Exploration and Production Company in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, engaging in the upstream, downstream midstream and service sectors of oil and gas industry in Nigeria and beyond.
The company is a state wholly owned business, and set up as a limited liability company run by a seasoned Board and Managing Director, who along with its management team oversees its operations.
BOC assets portfolio among others is inclusive of Atala-OML 46, which was awarded to it by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), a subsidiary of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in 2003 and OPL 240 in 2007 respectively. The company aims to put Atala field into full production by Q4 of 2017 and is also ready to increase its portfolio of assets through acquisition or farm-ins of or bidding for oil and gas assets across Nigeria as they become available.
The responsibility for the administration of BOCL and achievement of its vision lies with the management team comprising of highly experienced and skilled professionals with backgrounds mainly in the oil and gas industry headed by the Managing Director/CEO who has experience working in various countries around the world.
A professional board carefully chosen to add value to the company’s activities will oversee the broad based corporate governance issues of the company. The main responsibilities of the board are;
